What is better the Vampire Diaries or Gossip Girl?

There's no way to really know. Unless you hold an online poll but The Vampire Diaries is an older book having come out in 1991 but back then it was a New York Times Best Seller, as is Twilight. Whereas Twilight is more recent. In my opinion The Vampire Diaries is way better than Twilight (don't hate me, it's just my opinion) I hope this answers your question

Second person- I really think vampire diaries is better. But I'm sure that some other people will choose Twilight because it is more recent and I'm sure not all of them read Vampire diaries.

This is a matter of opinion. Some contributor opinions are:

• I think that the Vampire Diaries is better. The actors are better than in Twilight.
• I personally think Twilight. Vampire Diaries is too much of a take from Twilight.
• Actually Twilight is a take off of Twilight. Vampire Diaries was published first. I still like Twilight but when I read Vampire diaries I noticed the similarity so then I looked at the dates they were published. It turned out Vampire Diaries was published 1991 and Twilight 2005.
• I honestly think Vampire Diaries is better than Twilight. Except for "Breaking Dawn". Nothing can beat "Breaking Dawn". Except for "The Host". I think the girl who plays Elena in Vampire Diaries the series "Nina Dobrev" is extremely pretty. But she's not blonde like she should be in the book.
• I feel Twilight is too much of a take from Vampire Diaries. There are a few books better than twilight too, I just think in Breaking Dawn, they should fight the Volturi, it would be a lot nicer if they did.
• I'm gonna have to go with Twilight. The Vampire Diaries was a very predictable and ridiculous story, all the characters were too annoying for my taste especially Elena. She is spoiled and every time a new guy comes along she either has to have them or can't decide which one she wants. I was hoping by the end of the first book everyone would die but I was sadly disappointed.
• I think that the Twilight Saga is better, and yes, even though Vampire Diaries was made before Twilight, that doesn't matter, the Twilight movie was made before Vampire Diaries show, and Stefan looks too much like Edward and I think that Elena Gilbert/Nina Dobrev is very pretty but Bella Swan/Kristen Stewart is even more pretty.
• Twilight is better! Vampire Diaries is OK but the TV show is terrible.
• I've never read The Vampire Diaries, but I have read Twilight and in my opinion they just weren't up to the hype that surrounds them. The films are absolute rubbish and despite narrowing a lot of Meyer's emotional waffle and complaining, still some crept through.
• Vampire diaries for me. I think that the first books were really good but they are starting to go off subject now, but the TV program is better. I think the Twilight books are very good but the show of Vampire Diaries is acted out really well and each character plays a necessary role.

This is entirely a matter of opinion, but, IMDb has given The Vampire Diaries a rating of 7.9/10, and Gossip Girl a rating of 7.4/10. Rotten Tomatoes gives The Vampire Diariesan 84%, and Gossip Girl a 74%. If we're looking at ratings, it seems The Vampire Diaries is better, but it is all based on personal preference.
