All gecko species have 5 fingers or toes, Some may have claws and nails for gripping jagged and rough terrain such as cliff sides and ranges. Other will have setae or lamalee on their feet and this will allow them to hang upside down to almost any surface. In some cases a gecko developing a shedding problem can loose circulation in the toes/fingers due to retained shed skin stuck around the joints. If this is the case, Provide your gecko with a moist paper towel in a tupper wear container and allow their feet to be damp. If the problem continues to happen, a local herp / exotic pets vet must be seeked.
