There are 43 living species of toucans.
Toucans eat many kinds of eegs.
There are approximately 40 different species of toucans, each with various colors and sizes. They are known for their large, colorful bills, which can be used for numerous functions including feeding, regulating body temperature, and attracting mates. These beautiful birds are mostly found in the tropical regions of Central and South America.
I'm not sure what the actual population numbers are, but I know that they are on the "Least Concern" list because, even though the rainforest deforestation is causing their numbers to decline, they are adapted to survive in open areas as well, so the threat isn't as great as for creatures who can only survive in heavily forested areas. Seriously why does no one know. They have been around for 100s of years and no one has bothered to count them.
