It's very difficult to answer this question, and not just for President Obama. The secret service does not reveal the president's flight plan, in the interest of keeping him safe. However, there does not seem to be an unusual use of Air Force One, and the president does not seem to have done any more (or any less) travel than his immediate predecessors. Regarding what we have been told about Mr. Obama's travels, it is possible to calculate the mileage based on the trips he took during his first term in office. It is difficult to answer this question because no president uses Air Force One exclusively for personal use. The president is the leader of our country, and he requires special security and the ability to get to wherever he needs to go in comfort and safety; that is why he has his own plane, which is specially equipped and offers him privacy and protection. The typical day for any president is usually filled with a number of events. Thus, presidents who travel on Air Force One may be handling important business with an adviser or an expert while on the way to attend a series of events, some political and others related to foreign or domestic policy.

For example, President Obama may attend a campaign rally (which would certainly be considered personal use, since all presidents want to stay in office and need to campaign) but this is usually combined with performing some of the duties that are specific to being president. He has flown to fund-raising events, but in that same period of time, he may also have flown to a conference with a world leader, a speaking engagement at a university, or a patriotic commemoration. There is thus no evidence that the President Obama uses Air Force One in any way other than the way it was intended to be used, and the way other presidents have used it.
