It would be useful to know just how "low-watt" they are, in other words, exactly how many watts they use. Once you have that, use the formula: energy = power x time. If power is in watts and time in seconds, the energy will be in joules.

Light bulbs are measured in units of what?

Light bulb are measured in Candela (Cd) for its luminous intensity and Watt for its power consumed.

How much electricity does electric bulb uses?

The quantity of power consumed by a light bulb is dependant on the wattage of the bulb.

How much electrical energy does a 40w light bulb use if it is left on for 12h?

75W means bulb which give 75W power when connected to domestic light. Power is nothing but energy per second. Thus energy consumed by bulb can be calculated as follows. E = 75*60*60*4J = 1080kJ

In 1879 this invention Thomas Edison burned for 13 hours?

The light bulb. The light bulb. The light bulb.

How long does it take for a 100 watt light bulb to cobsume 100 units of energy?

Simple 10,000 hours cause it completes 1 unit in 10 hours.....

How much eletrical energy energy in kilowat hours would 60 w light bulb use un 60 sdays if left on steadily?

60 days is 24x60 hours, so the energy used is 60x24x60 watt-hours, 86400 watt-hours or 86.4 kilowatt-hours or units. If it is a 60-watt incandescent bulb it could be replaced by a 12 watt low-energy bulb, and in the same time that would use only 17.3 units, saving 69 units costing about £10.

How much electrical energy does a 75 W light bulb use if it is on 4 hours?

How much does it cost in cents to run a 60 watt light bulb?

In 100 hours it will use 6 kilowatt-hours (units) of electrical energywhich would cost around £1 or $1.

How many days the light bulb lasted?

Takes 300 hours for the average light bulb to burn out

The watts in a light bulb named after James Watt?

The watt was named after James Watt. The term watt in electric appliances refers the rate at which energy is generated or consumed and therefore is measured in units (e.g. watts) that represent energy per unit time. An example; when a light bulb with a power rating of 100W is turned on for one hour, the energy used is 100 watt hours (The watt second is a unit of energy, equal to the joule).

What does 40 watts bulb mean?

An electrical watt is a measure of power. A 40 watt light bulb uses 40 watts of electrical power. It has a relative measure of twice the light output of a 20 watt bulb and one half the output of an 80 watt bulb. A 40 watt bulb uses 40 Joules of energy each second, or 40 watt-hours of energy each hour. In 1000 hours it uses 40 kilowatt-hours or Units of electrical energy.
