As far as I know, you don't "beat" the Virtual Villager games. The goal is to raise a thriving village, to survive, raise children, and train your villagers to be accomplished in many areas and eventually become esteemed elders.
No, you cant have a baby villager of your own, but you can get baby villagers in less than 10 seconds. All you have to do is find or spawn a villager, right click the villager as many times as you want, hit the villager, and you can have baby villagers (FYI, BABY VILLAGERS ARE VERY ANNOYING!)
To convert a blue masked healthen villager just click and drag your villager on him. the job is simple when you have master devotee. you must repeat it many times until they are converted. if a yellow light glows above the heathen villager leave him alone for some time. to convert red and yellow masked healthen villager you need earth quack power.
Right now, there are 5 Virtual Villager games, made by the Last Day of Work. If you want to be updated, check their website: www.ldw.com for more info.
If you have the free Virtual Villagers: Origins on your ipod, the starting population limit is 40 when you have built all the huts. If you choose to spend tech points on raising the population limit, it will raise it to 50.

Unlock level 2 building and then drag a villager to the river next to the soil. Add many villagers to make the job go faster. Even with 8 people, it should take about 18 hours. Then you have a garden. You should make a scarecrow as soon as possible by dragging a villager to the north of the village, where you should see a message "you see a tangled mess". Take two or three trips, and you have a reliable food source.
The game you may be thinking of is Virtual Villagers. There are many different versions of Virtual Villagers though so you will have to figure it out from here. Hope this helps :P
