Well, there is no definite answer. It depends on the definition of 'volcano'. For example, there are volcanic fields that hold many centers, but they share the same magma chamber, so they might not be able to be counted as one single volcano. During the past 10 thousand years, about 1500 volcanos have been know to be active on the land, but there is a larger number of those which are underwater. There are about 50 - 70 active volcanos currently (erupting nearly each year).
So there are many volcanos on the earth, a lot of them active, a lot of them inactive, a lot under the water (e.g. in oceans), and many that have not had any effect on human life, so they are unknown of. There have been approximately over a million volcanos during the life of the earth though.
there are approx. 1500 active volcanoes on earth
No one knows exactly how many volcanoes are on the earth. There are approximately 1,500 volcanoes that have been active for the past 10,000 years. From the beginning of the earths time, the number of volcanoes could number in the millions.
There are approximately 1,500 active volcanoes on Earth. These volcanoes have erupted at least once in the last 10,000 years.
Yes and a great many of the earth's volcanoes are underwater.
It's impossible to answer this question. We don't even know how many volcanoes there are in the solar system. I'm not sure we know exactly how many volcanoes there are on Earth.
There are more than 1500 active volcanoes on earth. We currently know that 80 or more are under ocean's, these volcanoes can't produce magma just huge explosions.
They have been on Earth since Earth has existed.

Volcanoes, springs, many minerals, nutrients for plants.
Well, if volcanoes didn't exist, neither would the earth. Since volcanoes helped build the earth.
What I have learned in Earth Science I would say that there is many volcanoes and/or ice geysers.
