A broken patella can take up to eight weeks to mend depending on the type of break. If there are complications associated with the break or if the break is a compound fracture, this can take a little longer.
It can take up to 12 weeks for a fractured patella to completely heal. After 6 weeks cartilage will begin to form and hold the broken ends of the bone together.
Non displaced fractures of the patella are generally treated in a long leg brace in extension for 6 weeks and then gradual bending is allowed. Physical therapy is then started to rebuild atrophied muscles..
functional brace for 6 weeks
4-6 weeks
About 4-6 weeks
Mine lasted about six to seven weeks.
8-10 weeks
i would keep them in for at least 6 weeks when it heals completely, but i would move the earring itself around sometimes so it doesnt scab over the earring because then it huuuurts to take out again :D
It would be two weeks before it heals and if it is a really bad sprain it wounld take three weeks.
You should be almost back to normal in about six weeks if you take care of it
If the worm is completely removed, the wound heals in approximately two to four weeks. However, if a worm emerges from a sensitive area, such as the sole of a foot, or if several worms are involved, healing requires more time.
A fracture of the patella (kneecap) is most common with a direct blow, if falling directly on the patella, or rarely with incredibly strong quadriceps contractions when the lower leg is fixed in position. The most common symptom is pain directly over the patella. In some cases, one can see a divot or dimple in the middle of the patella if the fractured parts are separated from each other. There will be pain when straightening the knee. An Xray of the knee is most commonly used to diagnose a patellar fracture. If the fractured edges are not separated by more than 3-4 mm, a knee immobilizer can be worn for 2-3 weeks, followed by progressive range of motion exercises. For more displaced fractures (more than 3-4 mm), surgical repair is recommended.
Yes it is. The brace is there to immobilize your neck until it heals. If the the brace is not compatible with swimming, you might consider not swimming until you've healed completely. This would be a good thing to talk to your doctor about, as I would guess you've been asked to reduce excercise until your cervical spine heals.
