I'd like to know this too. I had IVF just over a week ago and though the home tests so far have been negative I hvae some of the symptoms of pregnancy. I'd like to know if it could be in my mind or if there is a chance it just hasn't shown up on a test yet?
Alot of people say two weeks but i know of alot of people that got faint positives at two months.I personally would wait six weeks.I know its a long time but its better to wait and get the answer for sure then wasit money when it could be false negative. Many doctors and people i know say no matter if the test says positive or negative to take a test one or two weeks after the first test taken to make sure of wheather you are or not.
That all depends on how much of the hormone is being produce. I know women that have never had a positive home pregnancy test. It only showed up when they had a blood test.http://en.allexperts.com/q/ObGyn-Pregnancy-issues-1007/negative-pregnancy-test-result-1.htm
It takes fourteen days (two weeks) to determine if you are pregnant with a home pregnancy test.
u can be 1 week pregnant and get the symptoms but i take at least 3-4 weeks to show in some people
You should be able to tell from a home pregnancy test when you are fourteen days (two weeks) pregnant.
2 weeks after conception at the earliest

You can take an at home pregnancy test up to 4 days before your expected pregnancy. The longer you wait the more accurate result you get but you can as soon as 4 days before.
Pregnancy tests, especially early-stage home tests, are never 100% reliable.
That you're already pregnant!
At 3 weeks the uterus measures the same as it was before you became pregnant. At this stage in pregnancy everything is still getting in place. You probably will not even show up positive on a home pregnancy test yet.
About two weeks after conception usually will show on most home tests. Most home pregnancy kits work as soon as your first missed period, some claim to work three or five days before your expected period.
Home pregnancy tests can have poor accuracy. Also, they expire. Go to your doctor so that you can receive an accurate test and prenatal care if you are pregnant.
A home pregnancy test can detect the pregnancy hormone starting around 10 days after conception.
