There were about 150 people in all on the Mayflower. The passengers counted 102. They landed on what is now Cape Cod in the winter, so passengers and crew lived on the ship until spring. The Mayflower left the Pilgrims for a voyage home in April of 1621.
The Mayflower carried 102 pilgrims when it left England in September 1620. These passengers included a mix of Separatists seeking religious freedom and other settlers. In addition to the pilgrims, there were also crew members aboard the ship, bringing the total number of people on the Mayflower to about 130.
The Mayflower
102 passengers and 25 to 30 crew members
The discrepancy arises from the fact that there were originally 102 passengers aboard the Mayflower, but one of the crew members, a man named Oceanus Hopkins, was born at sea during the voyage. Therefore, when the Mayflower landed, there were 103 individuals associated with the ship: 102 pilgrims and one newborn.
