England has only known seven White Christmases in the entire twentieh century!
It depends what you mean by "White Christmas." The definition normally used by gamblers and book-makers is "a single snowflake falling", even if that snowflake falls in the middle of a mix of rain, sleet and snow. On that definition, there were 7 White Christmases in the 20th Century. However, if you define a White Christmas as snow cover, so the ground actually appears white, (even if the snow feel a day or so earlier, rather than on the 25th) then there were only 2 - in 1938 and 1970.
