How many women gun owners are there in US?
No way to answer, since we do not know exactly how many gun owners (male and femal) there are. FWIW, both of my daughters, one granddaughter, and my stepmother own guns.
No information, and it will depend on where you are. In MOST of the US, there is no licensing of gun owners, thus no records of number of men OR women..
No records, since in most of the US, guns and gun owners are not registered. A very rough estimate in in the millions of women.
Gun owners aren't "registered" like cars. One estimate is that there are @ 4 million or so gun owners.
In the US, roughly 1/3 of the households are gun owners.
Approx. 27% of US gun owners hunt.
No records. Most of the US does not require gun registration, so there is no central record.
Impossible to answer. There is no registration of gun owners in the US, so no records for the information you ask for. Best estimate is several million.
300 million give or take a few hundred thousand.
The question can't be answered. National registration is not required.
The US has many blackpowder gun owners and hunting enthusiasists. It is a nostalgic sport that includes many modern technological advancements.
There are no exact records, since you do not need a permit to own in gun in most places. It is ESTIMATED that between 1/3 and 1/2 of all households in the US own at least one gun.
Not possible to answer, since MOST US states do not require registration of firearms. It is estimated that there are more than 80 million gun owners in the US (out of a population of about 303.8 million)
We do not know an exact number, since there is no licensing of gun owners on a national basis. It is estimated that roughly 1/3rd of all households in the US own at least 1 firearm. The percentage will very sharply by location. New York City- very rare. Rural Tennessee, very common.
There is a generally accepted number of about 89 guns per 100 people in the US. However, that does not truly reflect the ownership rate, since many gun owners have more than one gun. A more accurate rate would be an ESTIMATE of about 25-30 persons out of 100 own 1 or more firearms. It is an estimate, since in most of the US there is no requirement to register firearms with a government agency.
There is no way to give a simple answer. Until 1968, you could purchase firearms by mail from a catalog, so there was no way to enumerate those persons. An ESTMATE from the BATFE is that about 1/4 of the adults in the US own at least 1 gun. That would be ABOUT 60 million gun owners TODAY- but some estimates are higher within the past 2-3 years.
In the US there are over 80,000,000 gun owners. Of those, probably 75% shoot for hunting, action shooting, or marksmanship - i.e., for fun.
No way to know. The number is in the high millions, and varies country to country. In the US, it is estimated that there are over 75 million gun owners- about a quarter of the US population.
In 2005 there were 14,916 men who used a gun to end their own life. The same year, there were 2086 women who used guns.
If you are an adult, a legal resident of the US, and not forbidden from owning a gun because of a criminal history, and are mentally competent, yes, it is legal. There are several million legal gun owners in Texas.
America does not certify, register or license people to own guns in most areas. Therefore, there is no way of answering. It is estimated that a bit more than 1/3 of all households in the US have at least 1 gun.
Census 2000 = 143.4 million women in US
3 out of 4 homes
Many homes have guns, though mostly in rural areas. There are also a number of people who posess guns illegaly as well as those who have a legal contract to own one. Added: (in the US) Gun ownership is a Constitutionally protected right, and since no law requires gun owners to register their firearms the answer to this question is impossible to determine. There is no way to know this statistic.
According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, there were about 215 million privately owned guns in 1999. The NRA estimates that half of all American households (total US population is 294 million) have at least one gun owner. Numbers vary, but estimates are 70-80 million gun owners with 200-250 million guns. There is no way to give a definitive answer. There are millions of guns in the U.S. Some estimates say 80… Read More
There are approxamitely 150,000,000 women in the US, but every day the US gains more than 100 women. (and looses 100)
A total of 3869 gun murders happened in the US in 2007, 612 of which happened in Detroit and Baltimore.
You need to tell us more about the "gun license" and for what area. There are many different gun licenses.
Do you think people that own guns are more likely to kill than non gun owner what do you think gun owners and non gun owners mentality are not only for U.S.A for all of the people that own guns.?
Owning a firearm does not make one person more likely to commit a crime. There is at least 1 firearm in about 1/3 of all US households- but 1/3 of the US population does not commit murder. You are looking for a correlation that does not really exist.
