1 plain text character is aproximately 1 byte.
1 Kilobyte is approximately 1024 characters.
1 Kilobyte of text is approximately 1024 characters.
Understand, however, that there are typically "formatting" commands that are hidden, and they often take up quite a bit of extra space, but the above description works for just plain ASCII characters.

The memory measurement called a Word is 2 bytes. 1 KB is 1,000 Bytes therefore 1KB is 500 Words. If you mean words such as found in a text file each letter takes up 1 Byte and the average word in the English language is 5 characters long, so a 1KB plain text file would hold 200 words of average length.

Each character make one byte in a text file which also include space as a character.

So for example

kishore jangid

occupies 14bytes
