Windows Movie Maker has many effects. Probably more than you would ever use in a project. I estimate the program having at least 15 to 20 effects to choose from. Mind you, I have never really counted them.
You can't. Windows Live Movie Maker is a stripped-down version of 2.6. Microsoft though it would be easier for users so they came up with Windows Live Movie Maker. Unfortunately, you are missing many features that the older version had.
No. Unfortunately Windows 7 operating system does not include Windows Movie Maker, Windows Photo Gallery or Windows Mail. However, Windows 7 users are offered downloads for Windows Live Essentials which includes those programs (Windows Live Mail, Photo Gallery and Movie Maker). The only problem with the Windows Live Essentials programs is that they are 'stripped-down' versions of their predecessors, lacking many features/functions.Windows 7 users can download the actual Windows Movie Maker v2.6 (for Vista) though. A direct link to the 2.6 version download can be found in the Related Links on the bottom of this posting.
Try Publishing or Finishing the movie instead of Saving it.Saving only 'saves the project file'. And that feature is known to be rather persnickety on many versions of Windows Movie Maker.
Well, windows movie maker can definitely properly cut and edit films. They also offer many functions and features that are easy to understand by the user.
No, Windows Movie Maker is a free download. But, the program already comes free with Windows operating systems. So unless your current Movie Maker is not working properly and you wish to download and reinstall the program again, you don't need to download it.By the way, if you own a Mac... you can't download Windows Movie Maker at all. Mac machines include iMovie software for video editing if I am not mistaken. (And I could be mistaken since I haven't used/owned a Mac for many, many moons now).
Check out the URL I've posted below to see what Windows Movie Maker is all about; features, usage, downloads, etc.:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/default.mspx

Windows Movie Maker effects cannot be transferred or imported into Adobe Premier. ( I don't know why you would want to either) Premier offers many more effects than Windows Movie Maker does. Are you sure you are looking at all the effects Adobe Premier is offering?
