Technically, the "worlds" in Super Mario Galaxy are the domes. There's the Terrace, the Fountain, the Kitchen, the Bedroom, the Engine Room, and the Garden. So that means that there are 6 "worlds". I wouldn't really count the Gate as a world, because it only has Gateway Galaxy.
There are seven worlds, the names of the world are:
*Yoshi's island
*Donut plains
*Vanilla dome
*Twin bridges
*Forest of illusion
*Chocolate island
*Valley of bowser
there are six domes: Terrace Fountain Kitchen Bedroom Engine Room and the Garden. there is another one but it's not really a dome. that one is called the Gate.
There are ten including Delfino Plaza & the Airstrip.
