Yes there are many types of sharks in Long Island Sound. Sand Tiger Sharks are the most common which are in the aquarium at mystic. There have been sightings of Great White Sharks in the sound also. Brown, Hammerhead, and Thresher sharks have all been caught in Long Island Sound.

Hammerhead sharks are not known to mostly live in any one particular place. Their range extends over the coastlines of almost every continent in the world, but no further north than the United States and no further south than Australia. No hammerhead sharks have been recorded along the southern border of Australia or anywhere else further south than that, while in the same sense, no hammerhead sharks have been recorded further north than the Black Sea. The hammerhead shark is capable of living in many different environments.

yes, but there very hard to find. i mean like, they sell shark fin soup and hammerheads are a type of fin soup of different sharks. but the cost might be around $100- $1000 just on the kind of shark it is. and it is amazingly good. wel, i have not eaten it buts its been heard. sooo yeah, expensive right? haha, :)
Are there sharks in the Black Sea?
