Since the beginning of the nineteenth century, scientists have begun to realise that the earth is far, far older than a literal reading of the biblical account provides for. One of the theological solutions suggested for this is that one year to God is like millions of years to us. This is a solution that no doubt satisfies its proponents, but has a fatal flaw.
The biblical age of the earth has been estimated as approximately 6000 years, by using the genealogies of the legendary ancestors from Adam down to modern times. To increase this to the known scientific age of the earth would mean changing the biblical genealogies, so that Adam lived perhaps a million years, and so on. For believers, a lifespan of 930 years is plausible, but a lifespan of a million years is not, so this hypothesis fails.
There is no reason to say that God experiences a year differently than we do, or that a year to God is different to a year to us.
Another Answer:
In the Genesis 1 Creation account, on the very first day of the 'reign of man' God separated the light from the dark and there was and continues to be evening and morning from that very 1st day - a 24 hour period of time (or thereabouts).
Along with the day, God established the unique week and the month based upon the cycle of the moon and the year based upon solar cycle reflected in His Holy Day Calendar. For mankind then, a year is 360 days in the Hebrew calendar with an adjustment calculated by the priestly group adding a month every specific period of year cycles. Most today use the Roman system based upon 365 days with an adjustment called 'leap year' every 4th year.
One must realize that God established time for mankind as we are told He lives in eternity. There are Scriptures to give us a feel for God's perspective on the constraints of time as follows:
2 Peter 3:8New International Version (NIV)8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
Psalm 90:4New International Version (NIV)4A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night.
Another perspective:
A "year" is a measurement of "TIME." And "time" is "PHYSICAL"... measurable only by "THE MOVEMENTS OF THE PLANETS! "
The most accurate, most perfect watch or timepiece man has ever made is flawed, and loses time "over time." So, where does man go to "set his watch to the EXACT time? "
He goes to a "fixed point" on planet earth, like a national observatory, to set his watch.
The bottom line being, that "God created matter" and: "...through the Son He made the universe and everything in it... He sustains the universe by the Mighty Power of His Command..." (Heb.1:2-3 NLT New Living Translation).
God "created time" [the days, months, years], measured by the rotations and orbits and incremental movements of the planets as viewed from any fixed point on planet earth. He sustains their movements. And the length of one year to God is exactly as the planetary movements reveal it to man here on earth. And just as the prophecies in Scripture state them:
"This entire land will become a desolate wasteland. Israel and her neighboring lands will serve the king of Babylon FOR SEVENTY YEARS." (Jer.25:11 NLT)
"It was the first YEAR of the reign of Darius the Mede... During the first YEAR of his reign, I, Daniel, was studying the writings of the prophets. I learned from the Word of the LORD, as recorded by Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for SEVENTY YEARS." (Dan.9:1-2 NLT)
"...O LORD Almighty, for SEVENTY YEARS now you have been angry with Jerusalem and the towns of Judah..." (Zech.1:12 NLT).
The length of the years are the same for God and man... because God made it FOR man. So that man might know what time it is.
"From the TIME the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made... So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God [or how long His year is; emphasis mine]..." (Rom.1:20 NLT).
one day is like a thousand years to God
A book titled: "The Forgotten Books of The Bible" claimed that one of God's days is 5,000 of our years.

A day to Jehovah is as a thousand years to mankind. (2 Peter 3:8) 8 However, do not let this escape your notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Each day = 24 hours 24 hours = 1000 years 1000 years / 24 = 41.67 years per hour If an average person's heart beat 80 times per minute, then it would beat beat 1920 times per hour and 115,000 times in one day. Since Jehovah God does not have a physical heart, it would be impossible to make the calculation.
11 months and one day
i would ask why so many wars are started in his name
Only God knows this one.
* It has no effect on the promises of God, * As God's promises are true and everlasting.* They will take affect when the time is right* "One day as with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. the Lord is not slack concerning his promise" extracts form 2 Peter Ch 3 Ver 8 & 9 KJV
of course there are 365 day
19231 miles are 19231 miles - whether in one day or in one year or a million years!
There are 1,826 days in five years, which does include the one leap day. Depending on which 5 years there could be 1827 day with two leap years.
