There are different avenues to becoming a gymnastics coach. Many times, coaches are former gymnasts who have worked their way up, beginning with teaching pre-gymnastics classes and moving up to coaching competitive athletes when they gain more experience.
As long as you have gymnastics experience you have the ability to coach. but you have to have a very good eye and fast hand. I am 15 and coach up to level 6 gymnasts. i have spotted girls older and higher level than me too
Most female professional gymnasts in the United States have been training since they were 5 years old or younger. They usually train 6 - 8 hours a day, at least 5 days a week, although there are exceptions. Many girls have been training 4 hours a day or more since they were 7 or 8.
Practice, practice and more practice. You need to build up your endurance by giving your all and to have commitment!
It really doesn't have anything to do with your education, but you talent or skills that you have is what will allow you to become professional.

A qualified gymnastics coach is a person who has taught for several years. The longer they have been teaching the better qualified and more experienced that person becomes. The governing body for the sports of gymnastics in the United States is called USA Gymnastics. They provide some training that coaches can educate themselves with. All professional members of this federation must take a Safety Certification Test. A good gymnastics coach will be a member and have taken the test (and passed).
