How many years of education you have had.
About 25 years, more or less.
You don't need any education to become a writer, but it helps. Since many writers end up teaching at colleges and universities then you'll probably need a B.A., M.F.A., and Phd. in English, all of which will take a total of ten years in college. If you are heavily published by the time you get your M.F.A. (this isn't the norm, but it could happen) then you might not need that Phd., which would save you three years.

In Bolivia, the education system mandates a minimum of 12 years of formal education. This includes 6 years of primary education, followed by 3 years of secondary education, and an additional 3 years for high school or vocational training. Education is compulsory for children aged 6 to 14. However, many students may continue their education beyond this basic requirement.
You can't average it, since there are so many levels of people writing from small newspapers to the biggest. The price range is just to big to say, but you get big bucks writing for a good newspaper.
