There are many types of assistants. For example, a dental assistant, administrative assistant, physicians assistant, assistant managers, etc. How much they get paid depends on their career field, expertise, experience, and time on the job.
Umm I feel that this question is stupid. You do not have to go to school any YEARS to become an assistant. You may need a little training but that's about it.
2 years
It takes about 11 years after high school, 4 years of collage, 4 years of medical school, and 3 years of medical training.
Approximately 4-5 years of school as well as 1 year of training/internship
It generally takes 1 to 2 years, but it also depends on what degree you want. I suggest you going on the specific college's website and finding out there.
about 3 years. including flight school.
To be a dental assistant you will need a 4 year bachelor degree with a major in pre-dentistry. If you would like to run your own practice or be a dentist, you will need an additional 4 years of study at a dental school.

Well, I am currently in a PA program in Loretto, Pennsylvania, at Saint Francis University. This program is the BEST. Why? Our school has a 5 year program that allows students to enter as Freshman and wind up with a Bachelor's in Health Science at the end of 4 years, and these students get their Master's in Physician Assistant science at the end of 5 years. What is the significance in this? Well... Generally, it takes 6 years to become a Physician Assistant.
