How do you plant the seeds of a yucca plant and have success with growing them?

I am NOT an expert on yucca, but we have a Spanish style home [for years] and have lots of yucca plants. They bloom every year, but none of the seeds have germinated. The way we propagate yucca is to cut off the top couple of feet or so of a plant, strip the leaves from the bottom foot of the cutting, allow the wounds to heal for a few days or a week, and then plant the cutting. The plant from which the cutting was taken will develop a new growth stem, and sometimes multiples, which makes for a more interesting plant. The planted cutting will easily and quickly root and grow normally. So, if you have a friend or neighbor who will allow you to take a cutting, both of you will have pleasing plants. IF you want to take your cuttings from the wild, be sure to check regarding the legality of doing so. Many places where yucca grows wild have laws to protect the plants. As for the propagation by seed, I think I read somewhere, that the probability of successful pollination is very touchy, and therefore the gathering of viable seeds is very questionable. Until a true expert on yucca improves or replaces this partial answer, it'll just have to do.

Why does a rose grows faster then a sunflower?

Roses do not grow faster than sunflowers. Sunflowers will sprout, grow to their full adult height, bloom, produce seeds, and die all within a single season. Rose bushes take two to three years to reach an age where they will bloom and grow flowers. So therefor roses do not grow faster than sunflowers.
