Yucca plants typically take between 3 to 5 years to bloom, depending on the species and growing conditions. Factors such as climate, soil quality, and care can influence the time it takes for a yucca to flower. Once they reach maturity, yuccas can produce flowering stalks that may reach impressive heights. After blooming, some species may not flower again for several years.
Yucca plants typically take around 5 to 10 years to reach their full size.
From what I hear, the answer is "wait." It can take 7 years for a redbud to bloom. But it's worth it!
it takes three years from seed to bloom
I am NOT an expert on yucca, but we have a Spanish style home [for years] and have lots of yucca plants. They bloom every year, but none of the seeds have germinated. The way we propagate yucca is to cut off the top couple of feet or so of a plant, strip the leaves from the bottom foot of the cutting, allow the wounds to heal for a few days or a week, and then plant the cutting. The plant from which the cutting was taken will develop a new growth stem, and sometimes multiples, which makes for a more interesting plant. The planted cutting will easily and quickly root and grow normally. So, if you have a friend or neighbor who will allow you to take a cutting, both of you will have pleasing plants. IF you want to take your cuttings from the wild, be sure to check regarding the legality of doing so. Many places where yucca grows wild have laws to protect the plants. As for the propagation by seed, I think I read somewhere, that the probability of successful pollination is very touchy, and therefore the gathering of viable seeds is very questionable. Until a true expert on yucca improves or replaces this partial answer, it'll just have to do.
To successfully grow yucca from seed, start by planting the seeds in well-draining soil in a sunny location. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Provide warmth and light for germination, and transplant seedlings to larger pots as they grow. Be patient, as yucca plants can take several years to reach maturity.
A dogwood tree can bloom during their second year. Some dogwoods take between five and seven years to bloom fully. The trees need time to become established before they will bloom every year.
Paperwhites typically take about 3-5 weeks to bloom after planting.
Marigolds typically take about 45 to 50 days to bloom after planting the seeds.
Leave it alone .Hydrangea petiolaris can take a few years before it bloms.
Pumpkins typically take about 75 to 120 days to grow after the flowers bloom.
they DO bloom, in fact tulips, the flower, still grow at night once they are cut:)
Peonies typically take about 2 to 3 years to bloom when planted as bare roots. The first year is usually focused on establishing the root system, while blooming often occurs in the second or third year. Factors like soil quality, climate, and proper care can influence the timing of blooming. Patience is key, as these perennials can reward you with beautiful flowers for many years once established.
