nope not yet, but they did go to a prison where Al Capone was reported to haunt, although Al Capone is also thought to haunt Alcatraz.
I just watched a dead files episode where the medium went in and was taken on a "tour" of alcatraz by this ghost named stan, at the end she always does a police type sketch and the sketch was of al capone. ---- Why would Al Capone haunt Alcatraz? He died at his home surrounded by his family.
August 24, 1934.
Yes, he did go to Alcatraz. He was sentenced 7 or 11 years but died before his years finished. :)
Al Capone was indicted in 1931 for income tax evasion and violations of the Volstead Act. The violations of the Volstead Act were later dropped but he was sent, nevertheless, to Atlanta U.S. Penitentiary in May of 1932 and was later on sent to Lincoln Heights Jail temporarily before being sent to Alcatraz for the remainder of his sentence.
He was and is (he's dead) the most famous and ruthless mobster of all time. (he was in the mafia) Although he killed many people he was actually in for neglecting to pay taxes.
Al Capone arrived on the first train from USP Atlanta to Alcatraz shortly after the prison opened in 1934. He was perhaps the most famous prisoner there.
