Depends on how you define "youth deaths". There is one group putting forward a number that exceeds the total deaths of ALL children from all causes- seems they consider anyone 25 and younger a child, and have included things like a 22 year old shot by the police during a robbery.
If you check the FBI crime report, it may have some more accurate data than what is being given out in the media.
Too Many !
Assuming you mean all over the world and since the beginning of time, there have been over 100 billion people in the history of the earth and they have all died. However, guns were invented fairly recently and have only accounted for a very small percentage of deaths. By guns, do you mean handheld firearms, or anything powered by gunpowder? And since what point in time? And where? Deaths other than guns (in the history of the earth) account for over 99% percent of deaths. But that includes before guns were even invented. Please be more specific?
there have been 12,000 deaths so far
Accidental firearm deaths accounted for 851 in 2010. Compare this to the more than 440,000 deaths by cigarette smokers.
A very small percent of people are killed by justified homicide with guns. Most deaths by firearms are deliberate or inadvertent.

Too many.
drunk drivers kill twice as many people than accidental use of guns but if you add up the deaths associeated with guns on purpose they are surprising pretty close in numbers.
No telling, some countries had multimillion's of deaths. Most by gunfire.
On average, about 100 people die each day in the US due to guns.
