In general they're not. However, some closeted gay people will attack the gay community for various reasons. Quite often, it's to prove they're not gay. It may also be jealousy.
Generally, a gay person will admit to themselves that they are gay sometime in their lives. They may not necessarily publicize it or "come out of the closet", but they will accept the identity nonetheless. This stage of realization and acceptance often comes during your teenage years. Most people do not discover their sexual orientation until puberty starts and they notice their sexual attractions and fantasies. On the other hand, many people live in denial and do not accept their sexual orientation for their entire lives. These people may get married, have children or engage in heterosexual acts to try and deny their same sex attractions.
Because they are awful people. Gay and lesbian people are unique in their own way and different which may give bullies a reason to tease them when really it is such a disgusting thing and should be stopped around the world.
What are "better" rights? Depending on where we live, gay people may have fewer rights than straight people or the same rights. (For example, a group of lawyers in Minnesota has identified 515 rights in state laws that straight people have that gay people do not have.) I'm not aware of any place where we have more rights than straight people.
Yes, they can. Most studies show that gay people were decided that way before they were born. Between 5 and 10 percent of the world is gay, which is a very large number of people. That means in a school of 100 children, maybe 6 or 7 or 8 of them are gay. They may not realize it till they are older, but they were gay since they were born, probably.
tHE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW
Only you know why you want to be gay. If you are attracted to people of the same sex then you may be gay. There's nothing wrong with that.
She may not be gay and they are friends. She may be gay but is not ready to be open with you. Have you told her that gay people are wonderful and lovable? She may be gay but is afraid to tell you. Have you expressed any hostility towards gays in the past? You can change this.
Public Speaking is the world of the well educated, well read and those with a huge stage presence. Yes some may be gay but certainly it is not the world of gays. I know many very successful heterosexual public speakers. I know only one gay public speaker.
many people may be gay but they might not want to come out with it. there is no census for gay people so there is no way of knowing. besides some people could be covering it up.
Do you mean joke about gay people? Well, as long as it's not offensive then it may be acceptable.
It depends on the state/country. As of 2014, in the US. single gay people may adopt in all states except Utah. Couples may adopt in about 25 states. In Canada, gay people have exactly the same rights as straight people for everything.
