We are becoming more aware of the impact of media on self-esteem. The media has affected everyone; you can see the unhealthy impact of the media in girls, boys, women and men.

The media and it's sponsoring advertisers, wants you to believe that you and/or your life is somehow imperfect.

You are led to believe that Supermodels, celebrities, magazines, and several icons all of whom are given much attention because of their physical looks, abundant wealth, and lifestyles, are happier and more lovable than we are.

This results in an incorrect belief that we should emulate them, rather than supporting real love of self. This has made it difficult for us to feel self-assured with whom we naturally are.

It causes tremendous trauma in our psyches, and can actually be considered emotionally abusive, as we are unconsciously directed by the media to seek people, places and products for our fulfillment and perfection.

We impose unnecessary stress and suffer terribly from constantly comparing ourselves to others. The so called them, do not really exist.
