fertilization
Considering a Chimp's DNA is 99% identical to a humans I would think that people around the world are 99.99999% genetically identical
vegatation probogation
{It does not.} While occurring in Eukaryotes, particularly in Plants, asexual reproduction is occasionally a requirement.
Sexual reproduction requires two parties, whereas asexual reproduction requires only one. For example, reproduction among humans is not asexual, because there must be both a man and a woman involved. Bacterial reproduction however IS asexual because it reproduces by itself through binary fusion.
fertilization
Because of the difference between Asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction. Some organisms (like bacteria for example) reproduce asexually which means that they produce genetically identical copies of themselves. Humans and most other animals, however, reproduce sexually. This creates them to produce genetically similar children, who are not necessarily identical, but share similar traits. That is why we don't look exactly like them.
In asexual reproduction there are 2 daughter cells produced that are identical to the parent cell. In sexual reproduction there are 4 genetically different daughter cells produced that are haploid (23 chromosomes). Crossing over occurs during meiosis which mixes up segments of DNA on homologous chromosomes causing new genetic variations. By the sperm fertilizing the egg, you are combining 2 completely different sets of different haploid DNA to produce a diploid offspring which is genetically different from both parents.
Sexual reproduction is reproduction involving the union or fusion of a male and a female gamete. These gametes must come from two organisms, a male and a female. Asexual reproduction is reproduction through cloning or budding. Humans reproduce sexually.
asexual reproduction involves only one organism ex:ferns and mosses sexual reproduction reqiures to organisms, male and female ex: humans
If an offspring was produced through asexual reproduction, its genes will be exactly like its parent. This is more or less a clone of the parent. An example of this is a bacterium. If an offspring is produced through sexual reproduction, it will contain genes from both parents. (such as humans)

Asexual reproduction is only done by cells, plants, and a few protozoa. Sexual reproduction is the only choice humans have and it has quite a few advantages over asexual reproduction. It results in more variation and is more fun.

Asexual reproduction is when something reproduces on their own. eg: Plants are asexual. They reproduce on their own. You don't need another organism to help them reproduce. Humans are sexual.
Because sexual reproduction involves two seperate creatures, each with it's own chromozones to pass on to the child. In asexual reproduction, there is only one creature, so only one set of chromozones can be passed on. I.E: In humans, both the mother and the father pass on 23 chromozones, so the baby gets 46, half from the mum and half from the dad, so there is more variation. In a strawberry plant, the mother plant is the only entity that can pass chromozones onto the child, so the child will be genetically identical to the parent plant.
