Both of these consoles have high points and low points but in my opinion, I think that PlayStation3 is a better purchase than the Xbox 360. The PlayStation3 is better because of it's exclusive games, costs and online gaming features. A large reason why PlayStation 3 is better than Xbox 360 is because of its exclusive games. The two of the most popular games for Xbox 360 is just Halo and Gears Of War. Playstation3 has more variety and more games such as God Of War 3, Little Big Planet 1 and 2, Resistance 1 and 2 and so on. If you go on the website Ign.com and look at the rating for each of the console's exclusive games, you will realize that the Xbox 360 is defeated by the PlayStation3. Another reason why I think that PlayStation3 would be a better purchase than the Xbox 360 is because of the online gaming feature. Microsoft charges a monthly fee which adds up to $60.00 per year in order to use the popular online gaming feature, while PlayStation3 users are given online gaming for free. This means that the PlayStation3, even though it costs a bit more than the Xbox 360, is actually a lot cheaper if you are keeping your console for a longer amount of time. This is one of the major high points for the PlayStation3. A final reason why PlayStation3 is the better buy, is due to it's overall pricing for the console compared to the Xbox 360. People say that Xbox 360 is cheaper, but in reality, I think that PlayStation3 is cheaper once you add all of the costs together. Xbox 360 is $200.00 plus an extra $60.00 for Xbox live to go online for one year. Keep in mind that for each controller, you need to buy batteries, which adds $20.00 more to the cost. In order for Xbox 360 to have Wi-Fi for wireless internet, you need to pay $99.00 more, but this is optional. Now, with PlayStation3, it only costs $300.00. The controllers are rechargeable so there is no need for batteries, there is built in Wi-Fi, free online gaming and plus you get a free built in Blu-ray player, unlike the Xbox 360. Therefore, PlayStation3 is much cheaper in total costs. In conclusion, If you were to buy a gaming console, I would highly recommend buying Sony's PlayStation3 over Microsoft's Xbox 360. I think that it's the best console because of it's costs, online gaming features and exclusive games. In the future, the consoles will eventually advance again, but for now PlayStation3 is by far the best console yet. Since this was written more games have been released and the prices for the PS3 320 GB model dropped and they include a Uncharted 3 game for the $299.99. The 160 GB Model at $249.99 is cheaper than all but the 4 GB Xbox 360 Console
