Dogs can be given one milligram for every pound of weight, of regular strength Benadryl every 8-12 hours. For a 30 pound dog, you can try one 25mg tablet twice a day, to see if the slightly lower dose controls your dog's symptoms. You could also use Children's liquid regular strength Benadryl. Notice I say "children's", regular liquid Benadryl! Regualr liquid Benadry has too high an alcohol content to be safely used for animals.

Actually the dose for a dog of that size is 1 mg. per pound...so essentially he can have 30 mg.

∙ 11y agoi been reading some sites..they say its 1mg per pound...so about ...3..more or less..cuz...3 would be 75...some vets say they can take up to 2mg per lb..so it...thats..my best guest..
