Usually a loaf contains 8 to 10 servings, and each servings is (on average) 150 to 200 calories. So that equals roughly 1,600 calories.
Bread prices vary a great deal depending on where you are and the quality of the bread: In upstate New York on 8/14/10, I paid .90/lb. for a loaf of standard commercial white bread and 2.90/lb for a loaf of good Italian bread.
A packet of bread is also a loaf of bread.
Bread equals crust (outer layer of a loaf).Bacon equals bacon rind (outer layer of the skin of a pig).
Almost. Bread makers when they slice the loaves of bread actually crush them and fluff them back up into shape. The machinery they use does this automatically. We on the other hand don't have this machinery in our kitchens. If you find your bread has been crushed, if not too badly, you can try to straighten it by pressing on the sides(that weren't crushed. then have another person press the ENDS of the loaf towards each other until the loaf has been compressed about 1/3 the way in length then release the loaf and it should almost pop into shape. If this doesn't work then keep that loaf to make croutons, stuffing or bread crumbs.
The average price of a loaf of bread was about $.99
