bird feed
You should feed it.
you can feed a baby duck with bread and fish.
Just return it to its nest if you can find it nearby. If not, bring it home and feed it bread with milk or earthworms if you can find any. Set the bird free if any bird comes pecking on the window (it may well be the baby bird's mother).
well if that baby bird is your pet and it can nearly fly,....... no. Trust me i have a baby bird for a pet.
I don't see why feeding bits of bread to your bird would kill it. Just don't use moldy bread and don't feed bread as the sole diet. It is better to feed greens to your bird but not too often. Use greens like carrot tops, kale, etc.
no
you should take him to the vet as soon as possible. they will do everything possible to save it. they will know what to do.
Most bird love millet. It should be at any pet store. Also just saying you should feed your bird lettuce because if you don't your bird will die earlier.(sorry) Ask your pet store about pellets for birds too. Seeds should not be the only food in your bird's diet.
No, do not feed it or put it back in the nest. If the mother bird does not come back to take or feed the baby bird, call or take it to a local bird sanctuary. Do not touch the bird unless in emergency or injured, the mother bird most likely will abonden the baby bird if it smells human scent on it and it will die. What ever you do, DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THE BABY BIRD YOURSELF. It is illegal and often very life threatening to the bird.
It may depend on the bird, but in general, fruit and vegetables are good, and things like bread, dairy products and meat should never be given. Avocados are poisonous to many birds, as are chocolate and alcohol, so avoid those at all costs. If it is very young, you might want to consider mashing up the vegetables to make it easier for it to eat. From pet birds I've had in the past, I've found carrots, apples and raspberries to be favorites.
It is best if you don't feed it yourself. It can get stressed out and/or die. its best to call or bring to a bird sanctuary. Plus its illegal to take care of a baby bird without a licence. Do not touch the baby bird except in emergency or if its injured. Often the mother bird will come back and feed it. But if it has human scent, she will abandon it and it will die.
