It depends on the condition, the capacity, and the generation of the iPod.
It depends on the generation of iPod Nano and the condition it is in. For a 5th generation iPod Nano in an okay condition (scratches and wear somewhat evident), you would probably get around $80 dollars for it.
iPod nano 1st gen brand new sell for about $95 American dollars
After the release of the 5th generation, Apple stopped producing 8GB 4th Generations. They now sell 16 GB 4th Generation iPod Touches for $199 each. Unless you are asking about the 8GB iPod Nano's, which sell for $129.
They sell cases for every type of ipod, no matter its generation, amout of gbs, or its shape.
There are many store that sell 2nd generation iPod Nano such as Amazon, Verizon, Sprint and E-bay. They are also have online store to make the purchase easier.

sell the ipod nano and go get a ipod touch well that is what i would do
I think that the 6th Generation 80GB iPod has the best value. It's better than the nano because it has more space. Also, I think the 160GB is too much. If you run out of space, sell your 80gb and get 160.
