Go easy if you aren't into spicy...1/2 tsp in a pot is a good starting point. You could also sprinkle it in with the meat while it is browning. Put it in late because heat can take the edge off it.
ANS 3: First of all, Chili is a pepper, and Chilli is a mixture of stewed meat, spices, tomatoes, and broths sometimes with pinto or red kidney beans. I wouldn't recomend using chili powder. Using the broth of a boiled halapeno or habanero pepper would be better! Chili powder makes your chilli bitter sometimes, but boiling a sliced or diced pepper, draining into a clean bowl and adding to your chilli little by little would be the best way to go about it.
