Nevada is not one of the powerhouses of corn production. They do other things much better. For corn, they convert other state's grains into ethanol. Most of their corn crop goes to silage -- 130,000 tons.
If conditions are right you might get 4 ears of corn per stalk. Without enough water and the right type and amount of fertilizer you might get 0!

According to the USDA, one acre of corn removes about 8 tons of carbon dioxide from the air in a growing season. At 180 bushels per acre, corn produces enough oxygen to supply a year's needs for 131 people.
It very much depends on the amount of corn produced, as if less corn is produced the prices rise and if more corn is harvested the prices drop- however, in the latter circumstance there is usually more to buy...
