The price of postage in the US changed in 2007. On the 14th of May 2007 the rate went up to 41 cents. Prior to that the first ounce of First Class mail cost 39 cents.

The postage rate changed in May 2007. It was raised from 391 cents to 41 cents on May 7th. The second ounce of postage was reduced to 17 cents..
