It now costs between $1-20 for brand new, and the original one probably is priceless(to cubers, at least)
Depends on who you're selling to. As far as I know, many of these cubes have been destroyed when the rage in Rubik's Cubes died down.
I myself would pay a lot for it, as long as it's the real thing, just because it's one of the first ones made, and i'm addicted to buying things like these.
Unopened, not-damaged cubes are worth more than ones that have been used.
It can probably cost about $50US to the right buyer, or even more.

The Rubik's cube was invented by Erno Rubik for a reason, it wasn't invented as a toy. He invented to teach the 3 dimensions of objects to his students at Budapest Colledge, as a proffessor in achitecture.

Rubik invented his cube in 1974. It got the name Rubik's Cube and came out as Toy of the Year in 1980. It has 43 quintillion possible moves and only 1 set of moves to solve it. Amazing isnt it?
