religion changed so much in the 17th century because the Tudor monarchs who became king or queen were different religions and they didn't want that to change so they all made England follow there religion.
Everyone in England had to belong to the Church of England. To do otherwise was illegal. It was even illegal to miss church too much.
Not so much in England, however, there were many wars and conflicts over religion every where else in the world, even to this day.
Nothing Much LOL!!! ---- Yeah. Its a religion and religions aren't meant to change. The last major change was during the Protestant Reformation.
Their history and politics actually didn't change much from the year before, 2008! ;)
Well, USA dealing with religion actually didn't cause much trouble. However, in colonial America, The puritans and separatist's, who wanted to change or do away with the church of England, escaped to the Americas to avoid persecution, as did the Quakers. Virtually all problems dealing with religion were solved when Thomas Jefferson wrote the Virgini statue of religious freedom.
They didn't. They were Jewish and remained that way. The Torah is much older than the Babylonian exile.
He was very much catholic. Henry the 8th created the church of England only to become head of the church to divorce his wife Catherine. The church of England had all the aspects of a catholic church except that the head of the church was the king of England and not the pope.
Catholic Christianity mainly. The others were usually either forced to convert or die.It depends, of course on where you are talking about. In England, at the time Shakespeare lived in it, the only legal religion was the Church of England, a form of moderate Protestantism. In Northern Germany and the Scandinavian countries, Lutheran Protestant Christianity was the main religion, whereas in Switzerland, Scotland and the Netherlands they had a more Calvinist type of Protestantism. Everyone else in Europe, pretty much, was Roman Catholic. Islam was the main religion is the places it's the main religion today, and so was Hinduism. In China or Japan, you would probably be dealing with Buddhism.
It may change depending on where you live but where I live in southern England you have to pay up to £100.
