Generally the YMCA does not pay that much. It is about average compared to other jobs. If you have college education that you can be an instructor you may make more.
Maybe in a really highly specialized capacity, but your average, run-of-the-mill forklift operator in a warehouse... it's not really that high of a skill, and capable operators are a dime a dozen. If you want to make money doing it, maybe something like getting a CDL and doing flat & fork work would pay decent.
