A health unit coordinator works in a hospital performing non clinical tasks. The health unit coordinator may greet visitors and perform clerical duties.
Health unit coordinator week is actually a day. It is August 23rd. More information is available on the website run by the National Association of Health Unit coordinators www.nahuc.org
Sometimes called medical secretaries, health unit coordinators (HUCs) support the medical staff at a health care facility. A HUC helps to keep the facility organized and coordinate communication between patients and medical staff. As a coordinator, you may greet and check in patients, schedule appointments, schedule procedures and perform clerical duties. Other days you might compile patients' charts, transcribe physicians' orders and prepare birth or death certificates. Much of your work is performed under supervision of registered physicians or nurses.
A health unit worker works an 8 hour shift 7 days a week.
$17 an hour.
When you're doing an interstate transfer, you won't contact the receiving state's IST coordinator directly. You start the process in your unit, they contact your state's IST coordinator, then your own state's IST coordinator will contact the IST coordinator of the receiving state. Posting the name and contact info of the NC IST coordinator will do you no good - even if you contact them directly, they can't do anything for you until they're contacted by your state's IST coordinator.
Unit cost is how much is costs to make. Unit price is how much you sell it for. The difference is profit.

As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) you are responsible for creating charts for new admissions, answering the unit phones, transcribing (not dictation) of doctor's orders, ordering of various labs, procedures, breaking down the chart after a patient is discharged and anything else the doctor may order. Other daily duties may include stocking the supply room, stocking the printers & fax machines with paper, compiling the Medication Administration Records (MAR) for the nurses, updating the Kardex on patients, running labs to the lab on-site and any other unit specific daily duties.I have been a HUC now for 2 1/2 years and have worked numerous departments/units.
50 dollars defiantly I guess! Well maybe I don't know because I'm 9 years old!
