There is, however, no simple answer here. It depends on a variety of factors including geographical location and the type of restaurant. Take McDonald's, for example. Servers make a minimum wage of between $2 and $5 per hour, depending on the state. They make, at the very least, minimum wage, and usually average $15 to $25 per hour, or more, when you factor in their tips.
