I'm afraid that the term "scientist" and all the many possible and varied jobs that this covers is far too broad to answer this question in any other (i.e. a sensible and informative) way.
If you think of a specific scientific job that you are interested in and ask again then someone might be able to give you an approximation of an expected hourly rate.

if a forensic scientist gets paid $20000 a year at first then they would make $54 -$60 daily. does that answer your question?
A forensic scientist with less than one year experience earns less than $10.00 per hour. One with 20 years experience earns $75.00 per hour.
That depends on the agency you are applying for but a typical scientist would make 40-60K a year. Which translates to $20-$30/hr.
