• The 09 season stated that drivers make at least $120,000 and can earn more if they make more trips on the "Dalton" run.
• I've just started watching the show, and I haven't seen any owner/operators on the show. I do know that if there were, their expenses would be cut drastically by the slow speeds required, low mileage driven and a lot less hours driving. Since all the drivers I have seen work for Gruden or somebody else, I would think $70,000 for a couple of months' work would be an overstatement. Of course, since I don't know what the trucking company is being paid, it's all moot. I know the company usually gives the driver less than half of what they earn from the customer. It would be nice if they would say what they make, like they do on the crab boats.

• That's probably for an owner/operator with his/her own truck. So that would be $70,000 to the truck. After operating expenses (fuel, insurance, maintenance, etc.) and living expenses in places such as Yellowknife, NWT, a driver may take home about a third of that. Someone with more knowledge should confirm this.
