∙ 10y agoTickets are not required to view the parade. Many people get up as early as 6 AM or before to get a good viewing spot along the streets. While there is a limited amount of ticketed grandstand seating, these tickets are not sold to the general public. However, they can be obtained through charity auctions or purchasing a hotel package that comes with the tickets.

∙ 14y agoUm...well, you can buy an apartment that overlooks the parade route. Other than that, no, I don't think so. They just put up these flimsy bleachers all along the parade route, and the seats are first-come-first-serve.
If you don't get a seat, then you have to stand (or bring your own chair) and standing room is also first-come-first-serve. If you want to be in front, right behind the barrier between the crowd and the parade, then you have to come at like five or six in the morning.
So, basically, it's like any other parade. I've never heard of anyone buying seats for it.
