If you were to take 2 vicodin, you'd have 10mg of hydrocodone released immediately and when you take 2 more in 4 more hours, you'd have a total of 20 mg of hydrocodone released. With Tussionex, in that same 8 hours, you will have only realized 8mg of hydrocodone. It's the time release that causes the changes....
