A pint of water weighs a more than a pound, and weighs about 0.473 kilograms. A (UK) pint is 20 fluid ounces, or approx. 600 grams (0.568 kilograms).

There is a difference between weights and liquid ounces: 1 pound has a mass of 454 grams or 0.454 kilograms, so an ordinary ounce is 454grams/16ounces = 28.4 grams. A fluid ounce is, as noted above, 473 grams/16 fluid ounces = 29.6 grams.

How many pints are there in a pound? If you knew the answer to that, you could convert the pounds to kilograms. The problem is, as the old saying goes, you are "mixing apples and Oranges." A pint is a measure of volume. A kilogram is a measure of weight. You can convert pints to liters. You can convert pounds to kilograms. But the question cannot be answered, because it doesn't make sense.

Equation- 1 pint of S is k kilograms

Let "s" equal substance and "k" equal the number of kilo grams.
