1 kg.The weight of one liter of distilled water is 1 kg at 4 °C. If the temperature is different than that, the weight will change slightly because the density of water is temperature dependent.

See the weblinks to the left of this answer for webpage with a handy automatic calculator. Enter the temperature and also the salinity if you want and it will give you the density in kg/m3 (1000 liters = 1 m3).

* * * * *

The above is scientifically wrong. A kilogram is a measure of mass, not of weight. A litre of water weighs approx 9.8 Newtons on the surface of the earth. In outer space it will weigh nothing.

The density of pure water at room temperature is generally accepted as 1g/cm3, and 1 cm3 is equal to 1 mL. 7L = 7,000mL x 1g/mL = 7,000 g = 7kg To find the weight in pounds, 7kg x 2.21 = 15.47lb

That depends on what substance you are talking about. Some have more density than others, i.e., more mass (or weight) per unit of volume.
