In 2008, approximately 25,000 Toyota Camry Solara convertibles were produced. The Solara was a mid-size convertible that was popular for its combination of style and performance. Production of the model ceased in 2008, marking the end of its generation.
In 2005, Toyota produced approximately 20,000 units of the Solara convertible. The Solara was a popular model during its production years, which spanned from 1999 to 2008. However, specific production figures can vary based on different sources and market demands.
The Solara is the two-door coupe version of the Camry, and is also available as a convertible. If it's a 4-door, it would not be a Solara, but rather a Camry. The Solara coupe was discontinued at the end of the 2008 model year and the convertible was only produced in limited numbers after that.
The 2004-2008 Toyota Solara takes 24" driver side and 19" passenger side replacement windshield wiper blades.
The Toyota Solara was primarily manufactured in the United States, specifically at Toyota's manufacturing plant in Georgetown, Kentucky. Production of the Solara took place from 1998 until 2008. Some models were also produced in Canada at the Cambridge plant.
In the gas tank, connected to the fuel pump. Cheers
Toyota produced Solara convertibles beginning in 2000. There were two generations of Solara. Generation 1 (and 1.5) was produced from 1998 (first sold as a 1999 model) to 2003. Generation 2 (and 2.5) were produced from 2004 through 2008. The Generation 1 convertible was essentially a couple that the top had been removed from and a droptop installed. Many drivers dubbed it the 'flexible flyer' because the frame twisted and wiggled (and rattled) so badly. The Generation II convertible was designed from a clean sheet of paper to be rigid without a hard top. The windshield frame is thicker than the couple as are the doorsills and other parts. The convertible has a roll-bar hidden in the back seat that makes use of the headrests. If you're looking to buy a convertible, get the Gen II. Cheers

Production took place from 1998 until 2008, with the model being based on the Toyota Camry platform. Additionally, some components may have been sourced from other Toyota facilities globally.
For a 2008 Toyota Solara, the recommended motor oil weight is 5W-30. This viscosity provides optimal performance across a range of temperatures, ensuring proper lubrication and protection for the engine. Always check the owner's manual for any specific recommendations or requirements based on your driving conditions.
I don't know the answer, but we have a 2007 Solara & we have the same probem. The Dealer replaced something last week but it still has the same problem. It always seems to work at the dealer. Dave
To remove the headlight assembly on a 2008 Toyota Solara, start by opening the hood and locating the headlight assembly. Remove the screws or bolts securing the assembly, typically found at the top and side. Carefully disconnect the electrical connector and then gently pull the assembly out from the front of the vehicle. Ensure to handle it with care to avoid damaging any clips or wiring.
Yes, but as with most automatic transmission cars the drive wheels (front in this case) have to be off the ground. You'll need a 'dolly' type trailer. The front wheels are carried by the trailer while the rears are still on the roadway. If the transmission were manual and not automatic you could get away with leaving all four wheels on the ground and using a tow bar. Cheers
