In the USA the 40 GB PS3 is a waste because Gamespot ($250) and others sell them for close to the cost of a new PS3. They are even high on Ebay (150-250) and only Dead on Arrival will be consumer protected. Amazon has some for $225 and yet they sold some new 160 GB PS3s for $300 and a $75 Amazon gift card was a bonus.
