For a start bass you could probably get a kit for roughly 150 euro, however these basses are usually poor quality. If you want a decent good sounding instrument you'll want to spend at least 250 euro and upwards. Buying a slightly more expensive bass at the start will be worth it once you progress as a player. A good bass will compliment a good player, even the best bassists would struggle to make a genuinely poor bass sound great.
