In the US Army, the rank below Corporal is Private First Class. In the US Marine Corps and much of the British armed services (and in the armies of many other nations of the British Commonwealth), the rank below Corporal is Lance Corporal.
I don't know about the other branches, but, if you enlist in the Army after having been an Eagle Scout, you enter as a Private First Class (pay grade E-3), with a base pay rate of $1730/month.

It depends on their rank and time in service. No additional pay or benefits are received for having such an MOS - i.e., a Private First Class in the logistics field would make the same as someone with the same time in service who was in transportation or infantry.

The ranks in the US Military then were a lot similar to today, but with minor changes.
